MAGIC CITY MEMOIRS TO SCREEN IN COMPETITION AT 2011 HBO NY LATINO FILM FESTIVAL!!
Greetings to all... Magic City Memoirs will be screening at the 2011 HBO New York Latino Film Festival on Friday, August 19th!! The film will be screening in competition and we are hoping to keep our winning streak alive. To all our supporters flying in and to our New York supporters making a short commute, please stay tuned as ticket information will be available very soon.

MAGIC CITY MEMOIRS TAKES TOP HONORS AT IBIZA FILM FESTIVAL!!

Aaron Salgado’s drama Magic City Memoirs walked away with the best film, best screenplay and best actor awards at the fifth Ibiza International Film Festival on Sunday.
Aaron Salgado’s drama Magic City Memoirs walked away with the best film, best screenplay and best actor awards at the fifth Ibiza International Film Festival on Sunday.
Salgado wrote and directed Magic City Memoirs, a coming-of-age drama set in Miami about three high school students on the verge of graduation who get into trouble. The film’s stars JR Villareal, Michael Cardelle and Andres Dominguez shared the best actor prize.
Gass-Donnelly’s Small Town Murder Songs is a modern, gothic criminal drama about an aging cop who hides a violent past. Cast member Jackie Burroughs, who died recently, was recognised with a special jury award at the Ibiza festival.
Other notable award winners at the Spanish festival, which celebrates films with independent spirit, were Melinda Shankar who picked up the best actress prize for her role in Shundell Prasad’s Festival Of Lights about an immigrant family living in Queens, Dmitri Mass won best cinematography for Igor Kopylov’s I’m Not Telling (Ne Skazhu) and Fergus Riordan received a special mention for his role in Christian Molina’s violent drama I Want To Be A Soldier.

MAGIC CITY MEMOIRS SET TO MAKE WORLD PREMIERE @ 2011 MIAMI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL!!!
Greetings to all... We have officially accepted an invitation to world premiere MAGIC CITY MEMOIRS at the 2011 Miami International Film Festival. It will be a red carpet event at the historic Gusman Theater in downtown Miami. We are thrilled about screening this film to our hometown in this great venue. Much thanks and appreciation to President of Miami-Dade College Eduardo Padron and MIFF director Jaie Laplante for making this happen.
